Landforms

Thinking about the headlands along the coast. The sheer cliffs and coastal erosion from battering waves and rainfall and the more gentle lip lap of water over time. The adjacent rocks that have fallen away accompany the land edge. Rocks have fallen away not part of the mainland, an other that sits accompanying the land mass, a partner an offspring a root an orphan. Edges, others, discarded bits. This is a moment in time, a drop in an unimaginable drawn out length. I look out to the rock considering myself but what would it be like to look back from the rock ?
